WTF!!!!!! Mas mahal pa siya sa Star Wars?!

Ewan ko ba, this year eh I was tortured to watch these bad local films.

I compare watching bad films like the scene in clockwork orange. Subjecting yourself watchiing snuff film with full eyeballs out right? Geez.. I think I’ll do that than watching bad films. hehe

New stars emerging, indie films are rising to a better platform and yes, more film festivals than a crappy money grabbing fest disguising as a film festival right? But the tech stuff, I don’t know if I can cope up it.

But hell with spoilers.. Bwiset.

Second, eto, production budget and set up. I felt na they shot that like 2 weeks or 1 month tops! Why? its either its pressed for time or yun bayad sa talent fee malaki right? Geez.. Or the location is just around the corner.

Lastly, sloopy execution. I can’t imagine in most films I watched, due to pressure of time, the young stars you want to promote and the big money involved.. Malamang, yun execution eh on the fly na lang. If we can’t follow the direction or screenplay, just think what can be done. Good example, the ghost bride.. Wow, when Kim Chiu’s character is bringing bad luck plus killing some characters because of her, the best way to defeat the curse is bring her to Mongolia and ask help from priest. That was a good idea. But when the story flows, wow… The guy whom she met online all of the sudden became a good body guard plus that scene of dream sequence, it was done in a makeshift studio plus her character knows kung fu right away. Wow.. I was aghast. haha Ah yeah, I forgot how it started. The choices of actors as well and the shady effects and tone.. Kim Chiu has a lot of fans so the film is a success. But for me, I don’t want to remember it again. hehe

Geez.. For a filipino film, for the best value whether its bad or good, dapat eh mga nasa 200-230 lang siya.

Magandang start eh dahil may TRAIN na eh dapat yun tax sa local films should be only subject sa VAT na lang or very low tax. Kahit bad or blockbuster yun hollywood, same high tax plus earnings din.

Basta sana, kung gusto nyo more quality, global competitive and artistic pinoy films, let’s start what our government can really do. I’m sad that indie directors need to be subjected to make a passion project later. Make first a pathetic film from a big studio and if you are able to earn, then make your passion project alone or with different company. That’s harsh and it won’t really help our industry. That goes to other artists na alam ko may talent naman kaso well, they need to get fed din so let’s work in a teleserye, crappy film or worse, maybe sing and dance number in a variety show. hehe
Sana talaga pagtagal, wag naman 300php for a local film. Sa pagtanda ko ha.

Please if its 300php, better be worth it.

If not, well, why watch in a cinema house if I can just wait for few months and… =)

Di sulit talaga yun kahapon. Bwiset!
